The investor can carve out his own business model, assuming or not the responsibility for control and management of the various aspects and the various operating phases.
The following main business models may be identified:
a) Independent development starting with site scouting.
b) Purchase of the development by a developer (the market is huge and complex) and outsourcing construction to others.
c) Single development and construction contract with a single subject (EPC) who is responsible for everything (development may be complete or still need to be done).
d) Purchase of a finished system connected to the electric network at the time it goes into operation.
The choice of business model depends on the propension of the investor: for example, purchasing a turnkey system, there may be an additional cost but all the responsibilities are delegated to EPC
